The video installation Emma confronts a sensory experience of massage with its technological and dehumanized counterpart.

The robotic masseur Emma, as seen through the artificial rock

The visitor lies down on an artificial rock that serves as a massage table. His or her body is in direct contact with a raw material and the human hands of one or more people massaging it, while his head is inside the hole of the massage "table", through which he is put in front of a hypnotic video showing a robot-masseur developed in Singapore and named "Emma".
